Happy Birthday Solidarity Messages

Mumia Abu-Jamal is a political prisoner who has been in prison in Pennsylvania for nearly four decades. Falsely accused of killing a police officer in 1981, his judicial case saw everything from explicit racism from the convicting judge Sabo who said “I’m going to fry the n****”, falsified testimonies by witnesses who were intimidated by the police, ignoring the confession of someone who came forward as the perpetrator and the systematic removal of black people from the jury, to name just a few examples. 

This year, in 2020, we wanted to spread awareness of his case and also send Mumia messages of support and solidarity on his birthday. Despite being taken off death row after spending 25 years there, he remains in prison and we continue to campaign for his freedom. Read these messages and be inspired to support the campaign.
