Equality and Creativity workshops

2018 marked the centenary since the start of women’s suffrage* in the UK. We were asked to run a series of workshops offering a space for young womxn to get together and discuss the impact of patriarchy on their creative practice. We spent one session working doing a collaborative printmaking activity whilst talking about our experiences and a second session designing posters that reflected our demands for change.

Still We Rise magazine

These sessions were part of a wider project run by Anna Haydock-Wilson under the umbrella of ‘Art Within The Cracks.’ Another outcome we were involved in was the design of a feminist magazine that captured the stories, conversations and works of the womxn involved in the project. We worked with the young people from our workshops to inform the front and back cover designs, expressing their points of view and demands for change in society.
